Dr. Christopher Toler joined Atlantic Spine and Health Clinic in August of 2015. He relocated to South Carolina in 2010 from the Charlotte, NC area. Dr. Toler previously practiced for over 8 years as an associate doctor and clinic director in the greater Charlotte and Hickory, NC areas as well as here in the Charleston area for over 4 years.
Originally from West Virginia, Dr. Toler attended West Virginia University where he completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree. From there, Dr. Toler was intent on attending law school in Georgia. But after chiropractic care was instrumental in relieving headaches and sinus problems he had suffered from for over 10 years, Dr. Toler changed his mind and decided the chiropractic profession was for him.
Dr. Toler completed his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta, GA. He also completed a certification in postgraduate instruction for Chiropractic Physiological Therapeutics from New York Chiropractic College.
In addition, Dr. Toler has taken many postgraduate courses dealing with Whiplash Rehabilitation, Nutrition, Orthotic and Gait Analysis, Auto Accident Reconstruction, and Advanced Biomechanics (just to name a few). Dr. Toler also earned a distinction as a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (C.C.E.P.) after completing an accredited course of postgraduate study from the Council on Extremity Adjusting. This advanced training in dealing with problems and injuries to the upper and lower extremities has allowed him to better help serve a wide variety of patients. Whether it is from a sports related injury, work injury, age related problems, or various injures involving motor vehicle collisions, Dr. Toler is able to properly diagnose and treat these conditions more effectively.
Dr. Toler, his wife Lynette, and daughter Faith are very happy to be in South Carolina and look forward to many years of helping patients of all ages achieve greater health through compassionate chiropractic and rehabilitative care.
